Welcome to Nzuko Indi-Igbo Basildon. Started by a few committed members in 2017, the Nzuko Ndi-igbo has become  the fastest growing Black and Minority Ethnic Group (BAME) in Basildon.

Our members comprise of residents in Basildon and from different Boroughs in Essex in different professional works of life and committed in various ways to the integration and Inclusion of the BAME in the UK society. We support ourselves and ensure that every member has equal rights and privileges as stipulated in our constitution.

We meet every 3 months and each meeting is a small celebration of our rich Igbo cultural heritage, practiced with Christianity, and our meetings culminates in the End of Year party event, that is celebrated with our friends and families across the United Kindgom.

Our constitution stipulates the purpose for forming our great Association.

These include

- to enhance the cultural, educational, civic and general well-being of our members;

-To educate members of our community about Igbo culture and traditions; and

-To involve our members in community development of our local communities and our fatherland

- To engage with our local governments, NGO’s, other Unions and International organisation on services to humanity

-To engage in charitable good causes, within its meaning in sections of the Internal Revenue code.

As Ndi-Igbo Basildon, we are committed to upholding our constitution, to working with the local Councils to actualise the goals of the Councils in the areas of Integration, community developments, regenerations climate change, keeping safe and local policing. We are looking forward to working with our Councils in specific social and health related activities, to improve physical and mental health, foster social cohesion, and to bring the different communities in Basildon together through hosting an International Health Day from the year 2020. We also volunteer to engage with our Councils in any other areas that improves with our socio-cultural relationships in Basildon and Essex.

We are proud to showcase our rich cultural heritage as Igbos and we are committed  to inclusively inculcate our traditional virtues and values to our younger generations as expected of a true Igbo man and woman.
