Ndi-Igbo Basildon is a dynamic Association swelling in numbers and new interests across Basildon and surrounding Boroughs.
This great Association continues to move from strength to strength carrying out various activities to improve the welfare of members. These activities are updated monthly.
The Association is
- supporting the immune health through information / help on vitamin D supplements to minimise risk of serious complications of COVID-19 including deaths
-providing pastoral care to families who are unwell with or lost loved ones to COVID-19
- in Partnership with Girls Empowerment Initiative UK, reaching out to selected women/families for support during the COVID-19 lockdown
- reaching out to members through our numerous selfless volunteers helping the COVID-19 Shielded persons with food, personal shopping and cooked meals.
- supporting members through regular telephone calls to support their mental health, minimising mental stress, social isolation, anxiety and depression during the COVID-19 lockdown periods
-In partnership with the Essex County Council, keeping families active through the ActiveEssex Project.
- exploring ways to encourage members to join the Essex Police.
-exploring funding opportunities on projects to improve the welfare of members and BAME in Basildon
- in Partnership with Basildon Council Diversity and Inclusions Team, committing to fighting racism, hate crimes, gang culture thereby keeping Basildon safe
